As it is known to all that ICC Men’s U19 Cricket World Cup is going to start from 19th January in South Africa.
It will ends on 11 February 2024.
ICC has confirmed the lineup which includes 16 Umpires and four match referees for this world cup.
ICC has also confirmed match officials for the initial group stage fixtures, which includes an accomplished team takes charge of the opening match between hosts South Africa and another former U19 champion nation like West Indies in Potchefstroom on 19th January.
Ronald Black from Ireland and Gazi Sohel from Bangladesh has been selected for On-Field Umpires for the fixture. This will be Black’s third U19 Men’s world cup and Sohel’s international career stretches back to 2012.
Graeme Labrooy who is formal Sri Lankan international cricketer will be match referee for the clash, this will be his sixth appearance at the World Cup event.
TV Umpire will be Rashid Waqar of Pakistan and Bismillah Jan Shinwari of Afghanistan will be fourth umpire for the host’s opener.
India will face off against Bangladesh in Bloemfontien on 20 January as this will be repeat of the blockbuster 2020 final.
Australia’s Donovan Koch and West Indies’ Nigel Duguid will be the offical of that match with Zimbabwe’s Langton Rusere as fourth umpire and South African duo Allahudien Palekar as TV Umpire and Shaid Wadvalla as match referee
Palekar will be one of two Umpires from the host national appearing at the U19 WC together with Bongani Jele. Jele will be joined by India’s KNA Padmnabhan as of-field umpires for the clash between Pakistan and Afghanistan in the East London fixture. Match referee will be Narayan Kutty from India and Australia’s Phil Gillespie and Zimbabwe’s Forster Mutizwa as TV umpire and fourth Umpire respectively.
Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe will play the first fixture at Kimberley on 21 January. This fixture will be officiated by Mike Burns and Patrick Gustard as on-field, however Masudur Rahman Mukul from Bangladesh will take the role of TV Umpire, Faisal Khan from Pakistan will be fourth Umpire and Wayne Noon from England will be match referee.
